October 7, 2008 -- Dossier is on its way to DC for authentication.
October 3, 2008 -- Dossier is on its way to AAI. First part of Ethiopia fee paid
October 2, 2008 -- I600A is on its way to Atlanta
September 30, 2008 -- Received 3 copies of homestudy in the mail. One for us, one for USCIS and one for AAI.
September 25, 2008 -- Received homestudy report draft and finalized all information...we're good to go! FINALLY!
August 3, 2008 -- Notified that caseworker no longer works for homestudy agency. New caseworker assigned.
June 25, 2008 -- Received Dossier Packet from AAI...ready for more paperwork! -- All 3 reference letters turned in for Homestudy.
June 24, 2008 -- TB test done at Health Department
June 23, 2008 -- Billie had physical
June 18, 2008 -- Homestudy #3 completed -- Mileage check for caseworker
June 17, 2008 -- Homestudy #2 completed -- Mailed off applications and checks to Texas and Mississippi for certified copies of JennahKay's and Lorahbeth's birth certificates -- Fingerprinted for background check
June 15, 2008 -- First homestudy completed and fee paid to One World Adoption Services
June 14, 2008 -- Received Ethiopia Education Packet from AAI
June 7, 2008 -- Paperwork has arrived via priority mail in Federal Way, WA...only 2 hours from AAI.
June 5, 2008 -- Mailed in first small bit of paperwork and adoption processing fee to AAI
June 4, 2008 -- Receive first small bit of paperwork to fill out for AAI
June 4, 2008 -- Mailed application and application fee to One World Adoption Services for Homestudy
May 20, 2008 -- Mailed application and application fee to Adoption Advocates International (AAI)
April 17, 2008 -- Applied for updated passport for Shana and new passport for Billie
April 3, 2008 -- Passport photos made
March 25, 2008 -- Mailed off money orders to Mississippi and Texas, requesting certified copies of birth certificates and marriage certificate
March 13, 2008 -- Made it "official" to adopt from Ethiopia.
May 2007 -- Shana brought up to Billie the idea of adopting.
